saweeeeeeeet! nice job i like the detail on the wings, how long did it take you? i normally come up with a sketch in a bout ten minutes but i never really get around to a finished product, ask bitty about that...

um, it took me probably close to a hour to draw the full first pic, pencil on paper. The pic ive put up is actualy a crop, cause i am too busy to finish the full one at the moment. (if ur interested i'll put the original pencil scan on to my scraps page)

then i traced the pencil lines i wanted in blue in photoshop cs, then retraced in black (wacom tablet! woot!), then i colored it in, but i ran out of time to do the background.

i recently joined an okaki site. i havent posted many pics, but ive been watching animations. The animations are of how other people go from a blank canvas to their finished pics, bruchstroke by brushstroke. Watching them was quite inspireing, and i tryed my best to color this pic like the awesome ppl from the okaki site.

all in all i probably spent 6 hours doing this pic. over several days, but i drew the origianal pic as soon as i saw the pic on bitttykittys pg.

at the party the other night i told her i would do her some fan art. i know this is ur pic, but it is her character.

so i should have chosen one of her pics, but, EGK just had something i had to embellish or add to. determination, angst, a distant goal... well something!

the other reason i chose him was that i need to get better at drawing males. my girls are getting pretty good, but my men kinda suck. so he was good practice at doing a bit of a bishonen dude. shirtless - but not flaunting it too much!
